Signe is a U3 Physiology Major and Philosophy Minor from the small, seaside town of Saint Andrews, New Brunswick. During her time as an undergraduate student at McGill University, she has cultivated an interest in Ion Channel Physiology and is currently undertaking an undergraduate research project in the Bowie Lab, where she is learning electrophysiology and working to examine the functional behaviour of AMPA receptors and their auxiliary proteins in order to understand how the activity of the receptors may be altered. Previously, back in New Brunswick, she worked as an Aquatic Science Technician in a climate science lab, investigating the effect of ocean acidification on Atlantic sea scallops. During her spare time, she enjoys going for walks, listening to music, and playing the cello.
